We paid extra to upgrade to a ground-floor “poolside” room (highly recommended), which gave us direct access to the pool and our own private open terrace.
In addition to the adjacent pool, we received special treats such as bathrobes, newspapers, and a fruit basket. The breakfast was excellent.
