Kosher Restaurants in Paris

Kosher Restaurants in Paris - Kosher Food by Arrondissements 2023

Last updated: October 2023

There is a huge selection of kosher restaurants in Paris, in every style and taste. The Jewish community in Paris is the largest in Europe, so you can find countless options for kosher food in Paris – shops, bakeries and kosher restaurants. There are currently no less than 200(!) kosher restaurants in Paris, some of them Mehadrin or Glatt kosher.

A significant part of French Jews come from North African countries, and this is reflected in many restaurants that serve traditional food – dishes from Tunisian, Algerian cuisine, etc. In addition, there are also prestigious chef restaurants in Paris with haute French cuisine (and kosher!), Italian, Asian, Mediterranean restaurants and any other style you can think of.
The cafes and patisseries in Paris offer the best gourmet French pastries – eclairs, croissants, brioches, macarons and more. In short, a particularly delightful culinary experience awaits you in the City of Lights.

Since the page is too short to present a list of all the kosher restaurants in Paris, I have chosen to present here the best restaurants, ones for which I received first-hand recommendations. Also, I mainly chose restaurants located in the more touristic and central areas of the city. If you have another kosher and recommended restaurant to add to the list, I would appreciate it if you would update it in the comments below.

In the following list you will find kosher restaurants in Paris by arrondissements:

Accommodation in Paris

There are many accommodation options in Paris in a wide range of prices, but only a few kosher hotels.

The few kosher hotels in Paris are in the ninth arrondissement, where there used to be a large Jewish concentration. It is very convenient to stay there, close to synagogues, shops and kosher restaurants.

Another area recommended for kosher observant is Le Marais. Le Marais area used to be the Jewish quarter and was called “Hafeltzel”. Also the centre of Paris – the Champs Elysees area, the 8th and 16th arrondissements are highly recommended. Besides the convenience of being in the city centre, close to most of the sites and attractions, there is an active Chabad house and kosher restaurants in the centre of Paris.
