In recent years, the resort town of Zakopane has become an attractive destination for observant Jews.
During the summer season, Jews from all over the world visit the town, in response to the demand, facilities providing kosher food, a kosher hotel, prayer services, and even a mikvah (ritual bath) have been established there.
Located just a two hour drive from Kraków, Zakopane is a beautiful town nestled near the Tatra Mountains.
It serves as a convenient base for scenic excursions, visits to amusement parks, trips to the graves of tzaddikim (righteous figures) such as those in Sanz and Leżajsk and tours of Jewish heritage sites in Kraków and the surrounding area.
